Two decades ago, we realised it wasn’t easy to find a managing agent with the right attitude and aptitude. We had received poor estate management, but we were sure things didn’t have to be that way.
With a commitment to taking care of every property as if we lived there ourselves, Encore began.
Fast forward to today, and that commitment hasn’t wavered. It’s been a huge privilege to work with communities up and down the country to make a positive difference to the places people call ‘home’.
Encore CEO, Joaquim Fillola, explains: “From the get-go we’ve believed estate management can be a force for good. We can positively shape the world around us. And, at Encore, it’s incredible to see our team make that a reality every day.
“Doing what we do, taking care of communities, it’s clear to me that property management is a brilliant, dynamic and rewarding industry to be a part of. That’s why we’re still here, with 20 years of heritage and our eyes still firmly set on continuously improving and innovating.
“We have such a huge positive impact on the built environment. Property management has come on so far in the last two decades, and the future will bring so much more. That can mean anything from paving the way for net-zero communities, to integrating new technology or adapting to changing living and working styles.
“Ultimately, though, we’re always going to be working with people and helping to create places that are well run. It’s been a brilliant journey so far. I can’t wait to see where it takes us next.”
It’s this industry that we love, which we want to celebrate in our 20th anniversary year. Especially as we’ve seen so much change since 2004, from how we work being transformed by technology, to legislative updates causing industry-wide impacts.
As we start upon a year of celebrations marking our 20th anniversary, we’ll be taking the opportunity to collectively look at what has changed – and the impact we’ve made along the way. Although 20 years is a milestone we’re hugely proud of, this isn’t all about us. It’s about how property management has grown and transformed. It’s an opportunity to celebrate the people, communities and clients we’ve had the honour to work with. And it’s a chance to think about what we’re looking forward to in the next decades too.
